Speaking Your Truth

When speaking to others, whether lover or friend, something that seems to be lacking these days is truth - plain, simple truth. People like to add embellishments and drama to their so-called-truth. Why? These lies come out in the end anyway. Why would people do this?

Through our desire to have others there in our lives, people sometimes say what they think wants to be heard, which come out in form of half-truths or totally false statements for the purpose of keeping, or pulling others closer.

If you feel the need to speak to someone, speak truthfully!

When speaking your truth, one thing that makes it a blessing is understanding. When there is understanding between two people, two people who know they are speaking truthfully to a separate entity - one that is independent with their own set of circumstances (called life), then these people have just discovered a beautiful thing in each other that will never die.

A good friend and I have come to the point in our lives where our relationship could easily go either way for us - we are great friends and may make a good couple. The beautiful fact of our relationship isn't what we decide concerning this possibility - no matter where it stands, what other people think, or what you want to call it - it is the fact that she and I can talk to each other and it is purely truthful. We hide nothing of our feelings or what we want with our own lives - whether it includes each other or not. This has led, at times, to either of us becoming emotional because it's not what the other may want to hear, but I would have it no other way as this is what is needed to be heard. Our friendship and love for each other, in this way, has stood the test of time.

Many people give-in to the words of another, in many cases, knowing that these words may not be true. Lulled into false promises, or 'oh yes that dress makes you look fabulous' - with a rolling of the eyes when you turn from them. They put so much hope into their words that it is easy to get lost in them. The truth does, however, always come out at some point and that is where the fireworks between two people occur.

So please, when speaking, speak your truth - or say nothing. I want to hear words from the heart - not empty shells in the form of false friendships or promises - the truth will ultimately make you the beautiful person you are striving to be.

It's In The Cards...

I've always had a fascination with Tarot and Oracle card sets. Being of an artistic nature, the first thing that attracts me is the art on most of these cards.

I have recently purchased The Psychic Tarot/Oracle Deck (a hybrid of a conventional Tarot deck with name changes and some added original cards, including Chakra cards), and The Druid Animal Oracle Deck to use as tools for my intuitive work. Images of the covers at right may be clicked on to go to respective web sites if you are interested (leaves this site).

Though it is always said, you need nothing more than yourself for Intuition work. It does, however, aid the 6th sense when you have something stimulating any of your other senses - and I am a visual person so I like pictures!

I have been using The Psychic Tarot deck for a week now and have received some pretty accurate results. The cards chosen made sense. Most draws were simply 'ask question', 'draw card' and read into the answer. These were the simple readings. The more complex reading was done as a 3-card draw. Past, Present and Future were drawn upon a more complex question. I was blown away by the results as the cards were exactly what had happened, is happening and though I have no proof (yet), what will be the result (hmm.. law of attraction put them there? :) - could get really confusing).

The Druid Animal Oracle Deck has much more reading to do into the history and method of use. A hardcover book comes with it giving history and details of each of the 33 animals used in the deck. The set also supplies 3 blank cards that you can sketch your own animal onto if you have a preference that is not included in the original deck. Truth be told, there are many animals that could have been added to this deck, however, the creators chose the animals that had more of a history with the Druids.

A simple question I asked, for a single card draw, was "What animal energy currently depicts me?" to which I got an upside down Horse (Restlessness, difficulty settling down, not completing tasks) which completely resonates with me. The second question, relating to the first, was "What animal energy should I strive to be?" To this, I got the Sow (Generosity, nourishment, discovery). Opening myself up to receive, as well as give, more abundance was part of the description.

All in all, you can get some great insight into yourself - this in and of itself may scare people off but at the point I'm at, I love this insight!

Update: August 5, 2011

Picked up the Gaia Oracle Deck by Toni Carmine Salerno. After seeing my friend Lesley pick up this card set at a fair, I started to search for it with no luck. A local store picked them up and on a visit they were purchased immediately. Some very beautiful artwork by an intuitive artist. This 45 card set also has with it 45 affirmation, one for each card written along with an explanation of each cards meanings. You are, as you should with all card sets, invited to look 'deeper' into the images that are displayed on the cards to develop your own interpretations of their symbolic nature. There's something there for everyone!

Intuition & Synchronicities

My whole life, I have been interested in the paranormal and intuitive abilities of people. Things like seeing a shadow move from room to room, knowing who is on the phone before you actually answer it, or what people are going to say/do before they say/do it - that type of thing.

Three years ago, when I met Rev. Sayge Whitesong - a Shaman, Intuitive and Deep Trance Channeler, I had the opportunity to become exposed to teachings of a spiritual and intuitive nature. He showed a friend and I the tools to practice in strengthening our intuition and connecting with our subconscious. These are tools that anyone can use, and after practice, can either kick-start a dormant intuition or enhance what may already be in use. There are many people out there that use this ability without even knowing they do - And some of these people are the very skeptics in the idea of a 6th sense in the first place :)

During these past three years, I've come to realize that everything happens for a reason. There is no such thing as coincidence, simply synchronicities. Loosely put, a coincidence is an experience/event that occurs in conjunction with another experience/event with no defined relationship but appears accidental or uncanny. A synchronicity is the experience of two or more unrelated events that occur together by chance - but to the observer, have meaning. The big difference between the two is what is said about synchronicities:  ... but to the observer, have meaning.

Now, if something is going to have meaning to me, I need to observe it in the first place. Makes sense? Many people these days are not overly observant - rush of life and all - however once I started building my intuition, I began to notice many small events that may have been skimmed over, or got bits and pieces, in the past. I'm now getting to the stage where I am noticing the little things that, on their own don't mean much, but together a larger picture is drawn. These smaller events may be anything from the way certain people act in my presence, the feelings I get during my day or what someone may say to me. When these little events are connected to a feeling, other events or even conversations I may have had previous, they begin to mean so much more. I still have to tell myself to remain 'open' and observant as it is easy to get caught up in 'life' and ignore much of what goes by or, if I am paying attention, become confused by over-analyzing everything.

All these small events you can look at as a combination lock. Once the proper combination is achieved the outcome will occur. If I were looking for the perfect job, I may have to go through several events to find it. For example, speaking with someone who happens to know a job I can take (not in my field), then, when at that job, finding out one of the employees has a brother who works for a company in my field, then coming into contact with this brother and I get hired at that perfect job. This is a very small example of steps in a combination. Some of these steps may also be through the subconscious and you may not consciously realize you are receiving the outside information - this usually leads to 'Ah-Ha' moments! These noticed events act as guidance telling me that if I am going in the right direction with my life. This can be decided with our gut-reaction.

Once started, you can easily become overwhelmed and, in some cases, over-analyze everything to the point that the real 'point' is missed. Going with gut-reaction is key. If I feel anything but happy, or at the very least content with decisions or events, then I question whether this is the direction I want to go - or not. If this is not what I want, another piece to the combination may be missing - which may be seen very easily depending on what part of the combination I'm at - OR I need to change my way of thinking by asking myself 'What do I really want?' This delves into the realm of Manifestation and the Law of Attraction where the general idea is: If you think hard enough about ANYTHING, then you can get it, or make it happen - but you need to believe it with every ounce of your being. Many people want more money, however they decide to manifest less debt. Problem with this is that the Law of Attraction works on the subject of the request - not the 'I want' or 'I do not want' - just debt, so more debt comes their way. (See a variety of Law of Attraction books dealing with manifestation - that topic is too large for this note). Going back to the original subject, also keep in mind, you, yourself may be the last part to the sought after combination. You will have to see this yourself - no one said intuition - or life - doesn't take work on your part ;)

All these events that occur may be viewed as lessons to be learned - and the lessons never stop! If you find a lesson repeating on you - and more severe each time - it usually means you are ignoring a key factor of the lesson. I can guarantee you this lesson will continue to repeat if you ignore it or find the 'easy way out'. Hell, it's always happened to me that way.

I have my days where I try to keep in practice with my observation skills and intuitive work, but as with anything, life happens and you simply need to pick yourself up and get back in the groove!
