Poem - "The Mourning After"

Creation Date:  December 26, 2010

When mourning for another
You may well discover
The sorrow has not passed
Instead you hold onto it fast.

With this in thought
Stop before you're caught
In a vicious, depressing rut
That becomes more difficult to cut.

Know they are always by your side
And silently held you as you cried.
Physically they may be gone
But their love for you will always be strong.
