Poem - "Life Lessons"

Life will throw many tests our way
Often times with a replay.

Just try to keep your wits about,
And emotions from going all out.

You will see this test for what it is
Instead of always a pop quiz.

How we take what we are dealt
May hit us like 'dad's old belt'.

But these tests are not good or bad
Merely lessons to be had,

For no matter what your chosen result,
You will be stronger without a doubt.

As your time does progress
These teachings will become less,

So after the test comes your way
Simply take the time to say,

"Thank you for these lessons I learn,
With each I grow stronger in return."
